AiNET Data Centers Awarded SAS 70 Type II Certification
Prestigious Certification Adds to AiNET’s Impressive Credentials Set
BELTSVILLE, MD – May 9, 2011 – AiNET, LLC (AiNET) announced today that its data centers in Beltsville, MD and Laurel, MD have been awarded SAS 70 Type II certification. Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70 (SAS 70), Service Organizations, is an auditing statement issued by the Auditing Standards Board of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). SAS 70 provides guidance to service auditors when assessing the internal controls of a service organization such as a data center and issuing a service auditor’s report. Typically, the service organizations provide outsourcing services that impact the control environment of their customers.
“We have been operating our data centers at the highest quality level, but it’s great to have the external validation of a SAS 70 Type II certification award,” said Deepak Jain, AiNET President. “Since both of our public data centers follow the same procedures, the certification award extends to both of them. As we expand over the next year, the additional data centers also will follow these procedures.”
AiNET’s SAS 70 Type II Certification joins an impressive list of other certifications of AiNET data centers. These include FIPS-140, FISMA, NIST Cloud, DIACAP, DCID 6/9, ICD 705.2/705.3, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, SOX, and TIA-942 Tier IV.
