AiNET Receives Top Minority Owned Business Designation

Baltimore Business Journal recognizes global IT services company.

BALTIMORE, MD – 08/25/2017 – AiNET has been awarded “Top Minority Owned Business” by the Baltimore Business Journal for 2017 in recognition as one of the largest MBEs in the region. The announcement is published in the 2017 Baltimore Business Journal Book of Lists.

“Baltimore has a rich history of supporting minority-owned businesses, and it is exciting to be recognized as both a member and driving force in that community,” says Deepak Jain, CEO and founder of AiNET. “It is a reflection of both our commitment to diversity and equal opportunity, and a testament to our success as a global firm based in the area.”

AiNET’s One Market Center, located next to Baltimore’s historic Lexington Market, is Baltimore’s largest data center with over 200,000 square feet of data center floor space. It supports iconic Baltimore organizations such as Exelon and the University of Maryland, as well as national and global companies like Verizon, Level 3, and Cogent Communications. The data center provides high-tech jobs for residents of Baltimore city and the surrounding areas. One Market Center is a central hub of AiNET’s multi-gigabit data network that supports exciting new services for Baltimore.

“To remain innovative, we must find the best talent anywhere. That starts with our employees – over 50% are from diverse heritages, 100% are excellent at what they do.” Jain states. “We are a company that relies on our employees to drive innovation, and having a diverse, talented group of employees is critical to that.”

“Baltimore is a small global city that empowers opportunity,” says Jain. “Our company is a reflection of the City.”
