We get asked this from time to time – so let’s tell you why!

  • Cost!: AiNET’s data centers in Maryland – even our TIA-942 Tier IV facility – are price-competitive for colocation or wholesale with any data center in Northern Virginia. We are always questioned about power costs, and the reality is that utility market deregulation has leveled the playing field on the cost of power in the region. For wholesale power customers, AiNET’s supply rate for electricity is less than $0.06/kwH. We can talk about this  – but it will be a lot easier to prove it with numbers in a comparison of offers. Of course, AiNET Data Centers’ have unique value positions for Colocation, Managed Services, Storage and on other key factors.
  • Location: Our Data Center in Beltsville, MD (for example), where I-95 meets the Capital Beltway, features easy highway access and is closer to DC, and closer – or virtually the same distance – from any “inside the Beltway” location than the data centers in the area around Ashburn, VA. (Of note for Storage Area Networks, equipment colocated at AiNET’s Beltsville Data Center is within the 25 route-mile bound for Synchronous SAN Replication.) AiNET’s cost-effective remote hands professional services can virtually eliminate your need to visit the data center, but if you would prefer to do your own initial setup, this location is easily reachable from BWI, Washington Dulles, and Reagan National airports.

  • Connectivity: AiNET’s Data Centers are connected by its own highly-robust, DWDM fiber optic network that provides limitless connectivity to the hundreds of carriers in carrier hotels and premier data centers in Washington, Baltimore and Northern Virginia. Not only are our Maryland colocation-ready data centers part of the same regional network as all others data centers in the area, but its location is adjacent to the limitless connectivity of all the major east coast fiber routes up I-95 and MD-295. AiNET’s fiber construction company has built most of the networks in the area and continues to make new connections.
  • Diversity: Unlike many data centers in the region, especially those for colocation, AiNET data centers are powered by multiple physically diverse electrical substations — Even if you’re already in the area and looking to expand, our locations offer welcomed physical and power-substation diversity.

When you evaluate your options and what our Maryland location offers, you’ll be surprised and pleased with the reliability and expansion possibilities of AiNET Data Centers for Colocation.
